Spot on this. This mob have played long enough together and still look totally out of sink. Give me new quality any day. Plus, most clubs at this level sign an abundance of new lads every summer.

It took him a few mid table finishes and plenty of players and cash to assemble.

Remember last season when we could have gone and got Dave Challinor? Hartlepool are now flying under him

He would have cost us money. He would also bring his own team. No chance.

Darlington wouldn’t have allowed it.

I’d go for Mickey Mellon as manager. He’s taken Fleetwood and Tranmere up from the National League plus Shrewsbury from League 2. He can handle large budgets and attract good players. Keates was a good player but his time as manager is up. Our new owners have given him time but he’s not the person to take us forward.

I think we can do better, we will go for someone whom we headhunt and / or none of us have heard of.

I think the remnants of the previous regime will haunt us until we have a mass clear out.

Everything put in place management wise needs removing, we can’t have sentimental value we need a merciless cull of everything mediocre that the wst have put in place thinking it’s good enough.
