Two parts to our problem. Which both come home to roost against the top sides.
The team. We have too few gifted or even technically able players. Exception is Davies (a great prospect) and a half mark/could do better for Lainton and Young. Most of the rest are not even consistently able to pass the ball to an unmarked red shirt.
The manager. To score goals you have to have players in the opposition half on a consistent positive basis. That is irrespective of the player quality. This manager has very different ideas to that as we all know. His strategy is based on the number 0 and term clean sheet. His football commitment may have a place elsewhere, but surely not for our new owners, who seem to exude positivity in everything they think and do.

Fair enough if they want to let his contract run out and they have someone ready to come in but we don't know if this is the case.

They should sack him and either advertise or go get someone to do a job. This gives the new man time to have a look at what he has to work with and what he needs. Delaying the inevitable is just stupid.

If he's kept on next season then I will have serious doubts about how serious they are.

If he’s kept on next season I for one won’t require a season ticket. Don’t care who owns the club.

A defeat against Halifax could, worst case, see Eastleigh (away to Dagenham), Bromley (away to Woking) and Boreham Wood (away to Chesterfield) push us down to 11th.

Despite a wave of negative feelings at the time about a reappointment, they ignored it all for the cheap option. No doubt about it
