It still took them 4-5 seasons to go up ! Money is no guarantee when you have the wrong man in charge

Ultimately, money will succeed but it is no guarantee i.e. Forest Green or it can be derailed for a while i.e. Fylde. Sometimes, like all aspects of football, luck plays a major factor and everything can fall into place quickly and all big money signings stay fit, fit in and come good.

Our problem going forward will continue to be the fact there is only 1 guaranteed promotion place, the different rules for signing players during the season and that there always seems to be 1 or 2 other clubs in the division being massively financed.

The good news is our owners are capable of out financing any of our rivals, are shrewd enough to make alot of it self financing and have set about building the infrastructure to make our progress, sustainable, long lasting and hopefully set the club for many years to come.

Let's get Stockport up this season. Chesterfield will compete next season likely if they're not bust by then.

Hartlepool are likely to be up there as well as Torquay if they can keep hold of some players.

I can't see any reason why we can't be Top 3 next season

Aren't Chesterfield now owned by a community trust? Can't see that ownership model being able to really compete with some of the owners of certain other NL clubs such as ourselves and Stockport.

If they fail to achieve this season, I can see some drastic cloth cutting taking place.

They seem to have a different philosophy than we did.
In that they spend monies on decent players, bend the rules around furlough and vaccinations. In addition they have borrowed ( offically) with the Government loan scheme ( over 1 million). They also changed manager half way through a season which at this stage is proving successful.

It will never catch on
