Default Ratings vs Halifax Town

Dibble 6 - after the first few minutes when he pushed a shot around the post which he could have held, he wasn't really troubled. Was nowhere near the shot that hit the bar!

Carrington 6 - caught out for pace a few times but otherwise he was OK
Pearson 8 - held the back line together well. Cleared anything that was near him
Kelleher 7 - far more composed than on Saturday

French 6 - I think he would prefer to play in a flat back 4 but didn't let anyone down and got forward when he could
Young 6 - picked up anything loose and always looked to play the forward pass
Ruthers 6 - give him credit, whenever HTFC got anywhere near the area, he was first to it and closed down well. Was still full of running at the final whistle.
Davies 9 - Great hat trick and looked a very good player in that company
Reckord -6 still not convinced but he didn't let anyone down.

Gold 8 - held the ball up, led the line well & brought others into play
Angus 7 - took his goal well

Devonte - if only - he's got talent but not seen enough
Sang - got booked!!

Management team - got the team and the tactics spot on despite the usual 7 o'clock call to tell them they didn't know what they were doing

Referee - thought she did well and was consistent with the cards.

7/8's all round for me apart from Jord who gets a 9.

Still playing the long ball but defensively much better from Carra, Pearson at his best and Ruthers had a good game.

Thought Reckord was decent tbf, better crossing and solid which is a big improvement

Sounds like having Gold playing the Kwame role gave us our shape again, allowed Angus and Davies to run at slow Central defenders.

Absolutely a 10, best performance we've seen from a player in our team for years.

If that doesn't earn a 10 what does?

Default Re: Ratings vs Halifax Town

Dibble - 6: Kept a clean sheet but was very rarely tested.
French - 7: Very professional, a vast improvement to the Stockport game where I was very critical of him.
Kelleher - 7: Solid, did what was asked of him
Pearson - 8: Thought he was great in the 2nd half. Granted the game was won after 30 minutes but he still fought for the clean sheet today.
Carrington - 6: I don't think he's the best centre-back in the world but he didn't do anything bad.
Reckord - 6: Like Carrington, didn't do anything bad but didn't have too much of an impact on the game.
Young - 7: Did his job in midfield in both halves. Good defensively and offensively.
Rutherford - 6: Ran around, helped out where he was needed. Typical Rutherford performance.
Davies - 9: Man of the match. Best player on the pitch by a country mile. Haven't gave him a perfect 10 because he faded early in the second half due to us having the game won, but certainly the best individual Wrexham performance in years.
Omotayo - 7: Got an assist and won a few headers. Kwame Thomas he is not but he was decent today.
Angus - 7.5: Looked lively, gets .5 more than Gold because he scored.

SUBS:
Redmond - Not on long enough for a rating but nutmegged someone in the short time he was on which is always a treat.
Sang - Got booked, did nowt else.
