Re: Durrell gone
There are no such rumours but Davewilli is right - credit where it is due he played well on Tuesday. I really don't get the constant cheap shots at Rutherford who always gives his best as opposed to some in our squad who promise much and deliver nothing. He may well be released at the end of the season but I for one would thank him for his efforts and wish him well.

Re: Durrell gone
Hope so re Rutherford. Energy and movement make defenders work. He gets in space, passes quickly (many of our players move the ball to slowly) , makes things happen , gets assists , and tracks back to tackle and hassle. One of the most underrated players ever at the Racecourse.

Re: Durrell gone
Id be shocked if Ruthers was here next season. That said he has a role to play in the remaining games this season, I've always preferred him centrally where his energy helps recycle the ball, and makes up for his inability to cross or shoot.

He believes in what he does for the team, hence why he has complained to the manager when more skillful players who are not consistently doing the business have been starting ahead of him, but for me his weakness is his reluctancy to take a shot on, or run directly at the last man. He seems to prioritise keeping possession of the ball instead of believing he can hurt teams in the final 3rd. |
