I'm not disputing your comment but some evidence to back it up would help.

I can't see green energy alone paying for the Welsh economy, although please feel free to fire back at me on that.

Both Wales, Scotland and NI would be in a dire mess without the additional funds provided by the Barnett Formula.
As a Weshman living in England I am quite puzzled that Wales Scotland and NI have their own Parliaments and representation at Westminster while there is no English Parliament. There is also a very sound argument that there are areas of the Midlands and the North that are as much in need of additional funding as Barnett provides as any of the devolved administrations are.

The energy resources are not owned by private companies. How can wind and tide be owned?

doesn't have to be heavily taxed. Most businesses are already charged 20% tax, consumers 5%. So HRMC already gets around £400-£600 million from electricity produced in Wales. With English businesses and consumers paying slightly more than half.

Germany also charges a water levy..

Not being mugged by the crown estate for a bunch of privileged parasites would help.

The resources to tap the energy are privately owned though?

So don't worry - Wayne has answered for you!

Seems a drop in the ocean compared to the billions spent in Wales.

I know there are other sources of income but I'm not convinced energy will do the trick, especially if England decide to go with Small Modular Reactors, which they will.

Think liberty has received considerably less than £100 million from welsh government. In context, last year, one Wrexham pub received half of what liberty got in 2020 from Welsh government.
The Greensill thing isnt anything political... Its more about politicians turning a blind eye to criminal actions of leaders within the organisation with greed as a motivator. I know a lot of the staff there and very few people had a clue anything was going on... 1200 staff losing jobs but lex still apparently had time to draw out more than £200m before the administrators came in.

Cameron wasn't there as an advisor, he was there to open doors to bent tories and party contributors to raise capital.

Edit... Ffs, I've joined the politics chat

It is plainly a politically motivated payment authorised by Welsh Labour in Cardiff Bay.

Good to see ex-nationalist Baron Elis-Thomas, of Nant Conwy, found his natural home with his peers in the end.
You do realise you are spouting complete and utter nonsense here ?

The Welsh Government has awarded the Club a grant under the Spectator Sports Survival Fund 20-21 after a successful application by the club, it is a grant the club applied for, and was eligible for it, very similar to clubs and sporting institutions across Wales.
