The headline sounded like RP was endorsing it , there is a dilemma though , if he makes playoffs do they give him extension or longer contract . Personally be ruthless and get someone with more experience , knowledge and can work with a full compliment of players reserves and awareness of youth coming through , i don't think Keates qualifies .

Not a popular opinion, but there is a case to be made that Keates perhaps deserves a shot at it with investment behind him. It's not one I would subscribe to however.

MG making this point is the least surprising thing though. I am all for opinions but at points this season he has tried to convince me black is white.

That's a really good point about the youth when considering whether Keates deserves a new contract.

I know for a fact he has zero interest in the youth players, to the point he completely blanks them. The first team players have no respect for him either, he's a joke figure.Can't reveal my source sorry

With R&R's committment to setting up a new youth system, this approach should rule Keates out before we even consider his other failings

The article ignores that the quality of football has been poor, there has been no interest in youth development, results against the top teams have been awful and keeping Keates on would leave the fans divided.

Let’s see where we are at the end of the season. If we go out of the play offs with a whimper or don’t make it in at all then clearly the new CEO has a decision to make. Get to the final or by some miracle get promoted and I think Keates deserves another go.
