I'm not against this kind of appointment, but a lot will depend of the assistant, coaches etc.

I’d rather get a proper manager with some form of record. We don’t need to be taking risks on rookies these days.

I suppose the difference is our new owners will want success. The pressure will be on the manager to try and get us out of this league. No one will want to watch a failing team even with all the current interest in us. To keep the punters coming in, and the documentary viewers interested, we need to be winning. These guys aren’t going to spend money flogging a dead horse. They will want to see the bang for their buck.

Appointing a novice manager like Hudson who has achieved nowt as a manager yet would be nothing short of a disaster! Why eat burger when you can eat prime rib eye?

Agreed.

I think we're in a position where we need to trust those in power, especially Les Reed.

He has had 4 games as Caretaker of Huddersfield Town. Albeit lost all 4 games!

Hiring an up and comer is very in fashion at the moment.

I expect whoever comes in will be very well supported assistant and coach wise.

Ultimately some people will lose their shit whoever it is.

Agree. He has the experience and this is why R&R brought him in.

Graham Alexander is supposedly in the frame as well. I wasn’t particularly struck when I saw him being touted but after looking at his experience with Salford I wasn’t as against him getting the job as I originally thought.
