Default Re: CONTRACT NEWS | Devonte Redmond signs new deal

Davies, Jarvis and Redmond all starting. That could go well or be a weak as p1ss lineup. Did Jarvis play well in many games he started? Redmond can be anonymous and Davies needs experienced heads around him.

I get they need games but they would get bullied by a lot of teams. Wright, Pogba and Speight - there are some lads who never got bullied. Compare that to having Dan Jarvis 4 stone wet through on the wing.

I think as long as the fans stay off his back Redmond could come good, he must know this is his last chance saloon.
They are talented But under Keates rarely got a chance , and when they did was expected to Hit the ground running.

Jesse Lingard weighs 58kilos.....
In my experience being quicker than a bully tends to be rather satisfying.
We use to have a fly half you could blow over but the only place i ever caught up with him was in the bar.

Apples and oranges though isn't it. Is Redmond even quick? I'm not sure just telling Redmond that will suddenly make him have the mental strength and fight he seemed to lack. Some journeyman who plays for Halifax or whoever is still going to get in his face.

I hope he does turn it around, but he has a lot to do in my eyes. Whether we look at how Salford got the most out of him and try to replicate that (not that they seemed too bothered he left. Offered a new deal but they moved on pretty quick. He might live to regret not taking up their offer).

You can be quick of foot and/or of mind.

I agree he has a lot to do but i am prepared to put my faith in the management on this one. I can imagine that he is a relatively cheap squad player who may under the right management blossom.

You could be right (also, what management ).

He was Hughes marquee signing and I doubt he's taken a big pay cut, not that it matters. I just think what the reaction would be if we had kept him on if we weren't flush with cash. He did even less than Reckord.

I suspect his new contract will reflect his appearances to date. If we had not changed owners i doubt we would have kept him on. We are in the fortunate position now to take a punt on him showing what many believe he has.

Obviously there are lightweight players who are amazing, slow players, short players or whatever who are amazing, However they have enough talent elsewhere to outweigh their 'weaknesses'.

Redmond doesn't. Jarvis potentially has, I have definitely seen more in him than redmond. However I don't think a team with Redmond and Jarvis in the starting XI is getting promoted. They remain a gamble.
