Let’s hope it’s like signing a new player

I’m hopeful that a new manager and new approach will suit him. We have to play more football and less hoofball. I can see the changes in defence also supporting a change in style

Senior management can clearly see something in Devonte that I don’t. Perhaps our new training regime and Manager can transform him. Saying that, he ain’t played for so long, I would struggle to spot him in an I D parade.

Let's face it he's twice the player Rutherford was, but Keates preferred hoofers, he's only 24 and he does have talent, maybe with a new coach who plays proper football and uses the midfield he might get a chance, young players do tend to go through bad patches, Jarvis wasn't the player last season he was the season he joined us... I think as long as the fans stay off his back Redmond could come good, he must know this is his last chance saloon.

Have to give him a chance, he’s certainly capable. But if it’s side where it’s long ball all the time you won’t see him involved. If we are a passing side, we will certainly see his ability. Let’s hope the manager gets the best of him. Could Graham Alexander be lurking in background?

I can't see anything in him either, and although he didn't play much last season he played plenty in his first season.

I also don't know what is meant by 'an option for a further year'. it seems to be mentioned with all 1 year contracts, but is unclear whether it is the players option or the clubs
