This, but it's up to him, he needs to get his head right and be up for that challenge with Davies & Jarvis as play maker. It's difficult to see, with what we have seen over the last 2 years, but hopefully we can build a strong defence giving others licence to play. I guess making the 16 next season will be fierce so he needs a good pre-season.

You would imagine Jarvis and Redmond are competing to be Davies's backup

Played in the play off final for Salford, you don’t turn crap overnight. There are other factors such as your relationship with your manager but also style of play.

Some players find it difficult adjusting to life after being a kid at a big club,seeing his mates probably some with less ability playing for big clubs. It will be great if he can get motivated and hungry to see it as a second chance.

On the positive side he is still a kid himself, having not start during his loan spell at Scunthorpe and only 11startsfor Salford.
