Good pro and a great work ethic. Although his energy could influence games, he's not good enough for a promotion-chasing side, even as a squad player- that's the fault of management/club offering him a contract, however.

Hope he finds a club at this level, will always remember his last-minute winner away at Guiseley in 2016.

Never questioned his commitment and though his qualities may not have been the best i will remember him as one of our best servants in non league.

Would you really expect anything else from him than this? We’ve had so many players robbing a wage here & doing nothing for it. One thing can be said for Ruthers is he always gave 110%, was always committed & it’s clear just how much he loved playing for us. Regardless of his ability he should always have a huge ovation if he ever visits the race course again.

A parting statement with pure dignity,sincerity and respect..
I liked Ruthers....you knew he was wearing the shirt with pride and he consistently put in a shift...I preferred seeing him higher up behind the front players than out wide..Nearly 200 games ..along with Carra,Harris Pearson deserve a warm welcome if they return to the Caeras..
