Think it could be something to do with Border Breweries owning both the Turf ànd the Racecourse
.

Possibly but I think clear access for so many years means we have the right of way doesnt it ? .The club should try and buy the pub if this is an issue and having to ask permission every time we need to access the ground is not right in my book.

Think you’re confusing pedestrian access versus vehicular access. There is currently a ransome strip along Crispin Lane.

I dont think so . Over the years that main gate has been the way in for all sorts of plant / vehicles including tractors etc . In my understanding that gives a perpetual right of access but maybe one of our legal type fans can clarify ?

This form of permission is a pretty standard technique used in this sort of situation. Rights of access for specific things across land owned by someone else.

The company I work for has compounds across Wales and south west England and we have rights of access across other peoples land to those compounds for specific activities - maintenance usually. It is nothing to worry about.

All I know is,back in the day..You passed the Turf on your left with the bowling green on tour right, when getting to the turnstiles to get on the kop..All Border Breweries property..

Ofcourse, that's all changed now..

Think you're blowing this into something way bigger than it is.

My only concern is that new people come to the club and start thanking people or asking permission for something we have had a right to for many years.
Not a big issue but I dont recall anyone previously ever refering to this access issue.
