Another poster mentioned he had a year remaining... If the guy is also out of contract while commuting to Hartlepool from Ellesmere Port surely he's a big contender given his credentials.. If not the one

I put a tenner on keith Hill and he didn't budge from 22/1 so it's a lot more than that amount to have made the odds change that dramatically. Still doesn't mean they are in the know as shown with the money that went on Hudson. So someone who's lumped on is wrong, whether it be Hudson, challinor or both!

I was told he applied for our last managers job, but we went for Dean Keates, as he wanted to bring his own coaching staff, the WST could not afford this at the time. He also did not want To work with Carl Darlington.

Took Fylde up to the National league, Fylde won FA trophy and got to the play off final. Has worked with a big budget with them and played attacking football.

*sacked and was involved in relegating Fylde.

Moves to Hartlepool, takes them to the play off final (I think they will beat Torquay) and again finds another goal scorer in Rhys Oates. The Hartlepool home game we were battered by them and how it remained 0-0 I don’t know.

I think interviews with other candidates have been ongoing but I think the club are waiting until after the play off final to make any decisions .

Not to mention the fantastic job he did at Colwyn Bay.

We need to find the balance between putting a long term footballing philosophy in place and getting results right from the off and getting out of the conference. Of all the names mentioned so far, DC ticks the most boxes for me to get the ball rolling.

I agree with the thought that, if nothing's announced today or tomorrow, then Challinor's a big shout. I wouldn't be too upset, his teams are usually challenging at the right end of the table.

There's been no leaks though, so we could end up with someone being announced today that nobody's even thought was in contention.
