If it is even remotely true which I very much doubt. Imagine facing an interview panel and stating that you did not want to work with an existing member of staff - great plan

Shows great balls and the fact that he is a strong leader. Nearly every other manager in history brings his own trusted playing staff. He clearly saw that CD failed with every other manager.

You’re very probably right. There’s no way he’s applied before in my view. It’s more trust bashing on here but whilst it might be asked why he didn’t get Fylde up with their resources, I think we probably do need someone with experience of this league to get us out of it. How far he could take us remains to be seen. If it is him of course.

Would be a logical and greatly sensible appointment. And for that reason I don’t see it. All this Hudson and talk of UEFA coaching badges will win the day I suspect.

Hartlepool were a proper mess before he took over there. He has been successful and also plays attractive football which is a bonus.

This is qiute shocking if true and shows a major weakness of the past.

Generally haven't the new regime been logical and sensible up to now?

I’m not convinced it Challinor and that any announcement next week after the playoff final may be coincidence.

If you look at the recruitment process used by Les Reed, which has been linked in this forum, then it follows three interview stages.

The week directly after Keates left will have been used to filter candidates. Let’s assume they shortlisted five for the first round interviews. They probably concluded them late last week.

This week may have seen second round interviews of say three candidates. The final stage will be putting probably the final two in front of R&R. This could be happening around now or early next week. I’d imagine getting a slot with R&R to be an additional challenge given Reynolds is out and about promoting his new film.

To tie in with Les Reeds process I’ve always thought next week would be the time for any announcement. I think Bryn Law indicated he thought it may take about 3 weeks when he was on Fearless in Devotion.

I’d be pleased with Challinor but still think it’s someone else. I’m quiet enjoying the fact we don’t have those ITK leaking information. The professionalism demonstrated so far within the club has been excellent.

I was wishing for someone much higher up in the football pyramid to be manager. The two Rs will want to make a statement of intent and make a statement of where Wrexham are heading, that's why I don't see Challinor as fitting the criteria for a top manager.
