Re: Budgets for different managers
Do we know exactly what that budget includes, is it just players’ wages or are other things included like coaching staff pay and overnight stays? I ask as I’ve always found the figures given a bit ambiguous.

Re: Budgets for different managers
Exactly figures can be mislead when we don't know what each budget was spent on that year, nor can we be certain that elements of the clubs overall budget weren't moved around to maintain the appearance of a healthy playing budget each season

However all things being equal you would imagine the wage budget would be the same % of those figures to allow meaningful comparisons. |

Re: Budgets for different managers
The thing that puzzles me is when people claim it's a top 5/top 10/mid-table/ budget for the division. How do you know as the other teams don't publish theirs do they? They're under no obligation to either as I understand it.

Re: Budgets for different managers
Do we know what the budget was for 2020-21 then?

Re: Budgets for different managers
Definitely a case of guesswork based on the quality of their players and squad size, Keates or any manager would have more of an idea than most dealing with signing players from other teams and losing out to others when plenty of clubs keep pricing you out... and when you have picked up rejects (eg Reckord from Solihull) who may have taken a pay cut when signing it must be fairly easy to build a picture of who's throwing what about
