About 8 or 9 years old wanting my dad to move more behind the goal towards the back of the kop.. I use to look as much there as I did at the game.

King karl hatrick against Swindon
Watching Ian rush hit the cross bar - post corner
Watching a game in a snowstorm and just about see the halfway line.
All the young kids running to the ball when landed in the front hashed area of the kop.

The sound made when Andy Marriott collided with a Bury player and broke his jaw sticks in my mind. I was horrified as a child.

Being a ballboy in the snow and being given a cup of tea by a smiley man with around 5 teeth. I just held it to warm up my hands and didn't put it down, even when I had to return the heavy luminous orange ball.

Goalmouth scrambles involving Dennis Lawrence where you could feel everyone in the Kop moving in the direction of the ball and practically kicking the air.

Some memories I have include..........
Crowd disturbances under the Bushfield stand whenever certain clubs came to town (Port Vale; Crewe, Halifax and Portsmouth come to mind).
The mass migration of fans around the side of the pitch at half time. The kop could be full in the first half but empty in the second.
The surge forward when a goal was scored
Rushing back from holiday in Bournemouth for the opening day fixture against Brighton in our first season in the championship (boring 0-0 draw) and the kop was rammed.
Crawling under the fence at the side of the kop to get into a match played on a mid week afternoon due to the three day week.
Collecting bottles on the kop at half time to get the deposit refund.

Giving Joe Hart shit when he played for Man City in a pre season against us. Was absolutely hammered that day. The Kop lent itself to being drunk on. The barriers helped. Never enjoyed being drunk in a seated stand.
