Mickey “we’re still here” Mumble will bring back too many painful memories of the lost years. Does anyone know if there is a new stadium announcer for the new era ?

The tall chap with glasses was always very good, but he stopped a few seasons ago.

My favourite was the guy back in the 70s, but don’t know his name. Distinctive Welsh lilt, but clear as a bell. Happy days!

You'd like to think so. He may get the first game but once they realise how bad he is I'm sure new fresh blood will be found.

He was my one of my strongest memories of going to the game as a kid, when you're taking it all in as a youngster. I'd love to be able to hear him again, wonder if there's a recording anywhere?! Anyone know who he was?

Cant see the new owners being satisfied by the previous announcer efforts , we need a professional one with a bit of zip about him .
