Yma o Hyd is a great song of Wales, and also of our club ‘we’re still here’. One mans slow dirge is another’s anthemic meaningful song. My view is yes it should stay . If perhaps you want upbeat faster then play ‘Yma o hyd’ before them . As for it not being good anthem because it’s slow have a look on YouTube for the Hibs fans 10,000 plus as Hampden singing Sunshine on Leith, beautiful, and slow.

Agree and the vote so far is in favour. If there is one thing I have learnt over years of being on RP it is that the handful of noisiest posters on here don't actually represent the majority. It's a great anthem which maintains some of our Welshness. Slagging of people as nationalist, anti-outsider or anti-English is missing the real picture. Most of us are proud of our little country and our little club punching well above their weight. Without the Welshness we would be no different from Chester or Shrewsbury, just another club in an English outpost plying our trade in the swampy bits of the English pyramid.

But then like everyone else they are entitled to express their opinion.

I am proud of my country but don't need to hear YOH at the match to show or prove it.

If people want an upbeat song to come out to fair enough but let's keep a bit of Welshness about our club, next thing there will be a vote to ban the Welsh flag from the ground ffs.
One song has taken 13 pages so far.
Our new owners have taken us on because of our uniqueness as a Welsh club in the English pyramid plus the rest. Are we all proud to be Welsh or what?
