If it has to be played then do it much earlier in the day. It's a terrible thing to play just before kick off. A complete atmosphere sapper. I've had numerous people around me ask what this "dreary" song is and when I tell them they just shrug and say something along the lines of "well it doesn't exactly get you excited for a football match, does it". It's not about whether you think it's a good song or agree with the message behind it, as a football anthem it's not fit for purpose

Spencer wasn't even on the WST board when it became its anthem during the Hamilton years.

It was played at the racecourse when club was in admin.

I don't think it should be played because it has become connected to the trust. And the trust divides fans whereas Rob and Ryan unite.

Please let's have music connected to Deadpool and always sunny...

Can we get Rob \ Ryan to utilise their undoubted contacts to get a new kick-ass version of Wrexham Is The Name sorted out ... I'm sure this would fit right in their 'bucket' of things that can be done to raise our profile (and not to mention make a cracking tangent for the tv series) ...

As a non-Welsh speaker, I find Yma O Hyd a bit downbeat, but I guess that's partly what it's about.

Prefer 'Men of Harlech' which is much more upbeat, or the unofficial Welsh anthem, 'Calon Lân'.

I would suggest 'We Won't Get Fooled Again' by The Who!

I like the sentiment of the song and get its about Wales rather than Wrexham but it does seem to dwell on the past and make do with surviving as opposed to thriving which we are now doing so its a considered no from me

I agree with this. Love the song and the lyrics, it just sounds a bit tinpot.

Knowing R&R, they'll commission John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra to reimagine it
