My first proper look at Green and French and I was a bit disappointed to be honest. Green especially seems a little hesitant and his decision making was poor. He's pacey and has attributes to work with & develop.

Maybe French was a little out of position but he doesn't appear strong enough or decisive enough at centre-half. He was bypassed easily for the 2nd goal as well.

I've not been impressed with French at Centre Back. I think he's looked a far better player at wing back.

If we sign Hayden then we are just short one more centre half.

May aswel give up on replacing Dibble, he is clearly accepted as the back up, more likely will be having to replace Lainton.

Those midfield options would still concern me. It’s such an important position, I think we need a proven play in that 23-28 age range.

Agreed. We need a Furman type. We have seen what a Young, Jarvis & Davies midfield can do - it’s not enough. As for Redmond - no appearances during pre-season does not bode well for him at all. Wouldn’t be surprised for his first appearance to be in our first FA Trophy game before heading out on loan. Seems to be a pointless re-signing.
