You are measuring squad to squad , but you have to take account of the Management/coaching aspect and I believe we have more quality there.
How many times in the past have part time inferior teams outmaneuvered us tactically ?

I have to admit, I do feel we are behind Stockport & Notts County for sure in terms of challenging for the title, I personally don't feel we will be strong enough to go up as champions (based on the current squad) but imagine this season is about building the foundations.

I get your point, but we’ve had people working behind the scenes now for months.. they’ve been getting names together for months too. I don’t doubt we are looking at the right kind of players, evidence of who we’ve signed so far suggests that. But we do seem to be handing a little advantage to our rivals by us assembling the squad late. A little advantage in this league could be huge too with how the league is shaping up.

You probably will not remember when Arfon in 1977 brought Dai and Dixie in within 24 hours, after the season had started, the rest is history. Relax.

I'm pretty comfortable that the remaining players needed will be brought in.

I'm confident that bids will have been placed, but for players clubs don't want to let go.

I also don't think we'll pay the over the odds. We're an attractive proposition to players and that's a big factor.

Notts County fans would disagree by the looks of things. They're not happy with recruitment compared to us, Stockport and Chesterfield

According to forum/Johnson CLE picked up an injury in training so no agenda on absence.
Old boy Holman doing well in preseason and new midfielder Rogers also impressing.
Would be an astute move to try and sign centre half Joe Lewis from Torquay as apparently their defensive lynchpin and we need a centre half.Other clubs have been picking off our assets for years-signing Evans and Lewis would weaken Torquay considerably and as a bonus both are Welsh.
