I like the white nets but must admit I prefer them hanging off back of stanchions which are attached to the rear of the uprights (if you know what I mean). Looks more spectacular when that ball hits "the back of the net".

You mean the sort of goal nets we had in 1992 when that wonderful camera angle behind David Seaman's goal showed the beauty of stanchion nets?

I did see it in person but it didn't look great at the time the photos look better, not a bad idea though with advertising on it too, must be inclusive though ffs!

Remember Chelsea had large advertising boards behind the goal during the late 90’s when work was carried out at Stamford Bridge. Certainly looks better than a building site.

I agree. I think the "box" net is a requirement for international fixtures nowadays however
