Default Re: Luke Young Named as Captain

Isn’t there normally a club captain, team captain and vice captain, or have I just made this up?

Strange that only one captain has been announced. Is Luke Young club or team captain I wonder?

He's spread himself too thin out of necessity, especially season before last when he was the only one who looked like he was bothered.
I think, with some insurance behind him, there's a real player there at L2, Nat League level.
Unfortunately, at the moment, it's looking like more of the same for the first few games.

Who the flip is english red only turns up if he has a free ticket. How many seasons have we not controlled a midfield against the likes of Woking etc as mentioned recently Luke is just a quiet individual who is not a leader.

Classy interview from Youngy.

I know people may think that he ain’t the right man for the armband. But he leads by example on the pitch and the training ground by the sounds of it so I’m sure he will cause no issues.

He’s a humble lad who shows passion for the club.

Nah, isn’t there usually captain and vice captain? But sometimes the captain is injured or been at the club years and plays less, so a team captain plays more and the old timer retains the distinguished title of club captain?>

I too could just be making that up!

What are you on about? only go when I get a free ticket?

And once more for Back of the Kop, who obviously has issues understanding simple things. I've said numerous times I think the midfield needs strengthening, but I'm just not pissing my pants about it like an old woman.

This is the key point about young, he has been a one man midfield at times during his spell here. In the season before last he had to sit in front of the back four to break up play, be at the centre of a passing move and then get up front to support the forwards!

Really not sure what game you've been watching. Young is a very mediocre NL midfield player with a decent shot
