Default Latest post from the trust

Negating that this post breaks their democratic constitution, here's the latest news from the trust...

WST Membership Renewal – Wrexham Supporters Trust

WREXHAM FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS’ SOCIETY LTD – JOIN OR RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP

Dear Member,

The last 17 months have been different and, and for some, very challenging. We have had to adapt to new ways of living our lives, but, slowly, things are starting to get back to some sort of normality.

Closer to home, Wrexham AFC has new owners, and the original role and purpose of the WST has changed. The WST, with the help of the Football Supporters Association (FSA), has, for the past few months, been looking at its function, to re-focus and, be even more community orientated.

By being a member of WST, you can help it develop its new role and purpose in:

• being the democratic and representative voice of the supporters of the Club and strengthening the bonds between the Club and the communities which it serves;
• achieving the greatest possible supporter and community influence in the running and ownership of the Club;
• promoting responsible and constructive community engagement by present and future members of the communities served by the Club and encouraging the Club to do the same;
• operating democratically, fairly, sustainably, transparently and with financial responsibility and encouraging the Club to do the same;
• being a positive, inclusive and representative organisation, open and accessible to all supporters of the Club regardless of their age, income, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexuality or religious or moral belief.
• being part of the Board to proactively discuss and actively assist in developing its role in the Club Advisory Board

By joining the WST you’ll have full-voting rights on important issues, attend our annual AGM and help to achieve these objects of the Trust.

...and so on...

What Important issues?

What would there be to speak about at an AGM?

They are finished now and still working with the fca shows nobody in the setup understands the politics killed it in the end.

As long as the few remaining board members get to feel important and discuss the future of the WST with the FSA who cares about following democratic procedure..............

There are some serious questions to be asked of this chairman who's reign has been an outright disaster from start to finish. Hopefully the first and last question is will he be resigning

Each of those objectives provided is so far removed from reality. They really don't realise how few of the fanbase they represented. It's laughable that an aim is to promote transparency and fairness in the running of the club, by an organisation who towards the end became very murky at best and guilty of outright lies at worst.

It's a no from me. Time to cancel now.

Personally id would rather we got the lease out of their hands before we all leave the Trust in the hands of the 31

The lease is our guarantee, post Hollywood.
The current chair was dealt a crap hand with the large number of resignations, Covid and the transfer of the club to R $ R.

While the trust has the lease it still has some purpose especially if this is community orientated.

I would though have liked to see a proposal for an AGM and an effort to fill vacant board positions.

Fans still, in my opinion, need to be able to communicate with the club, be it through the supporters association, trust, DSA, Local reds groups etc. as part of the honorary board.

The DSA are now in regular communication with the club working through Kerry our DLO.

Things have changed hugely for the better there

Why are the WST calling for transparency from the club when they don't publish meeting minutes, and have not named a new secretary?

I want to renew my membership. But I'd like to know when the AGM actually is first.

The chair and vice chair dealt the crap hands themselves and broke the constitution after they checked the cards.
