After Wealdstone (H) VNL - 20/11/2021 (0-0)
Over 8,000 fans hoping/expecting to see another 5 goal thrashing!
Wealdstone were too well organised and kept the ball on the ground; we played hoof ball for the most part. We're playing better away, maybe we're intimidated by the crowds - just like we're intimidated by TV cameras? |

After Bromley (H) VNL - 27/11/2021 (2-0)
A slight chesty cough and the weather forecast persuaded me that The Cold Road Stand was not the smart option, so I stayed at home.
A good result and two more this week will see us consolidating a playoff spot; we're currently 5th on PPG! |

After Yeovil (H) VNL - 30/11/2021 (0-2)
A disappointing defeat. I'm waiting to see the highlights to confirm my belief that a) the red card was not deserved and b) their second goal was offside. A very poor day at the office for all three officials, I wonder which Sunday League they normally disgrace.

After Dover (A) VNL - 04/12/2021 (1-0)
By all accounts, not a pretty game but 3pts and a clean sheet put us 4th in the table (8th on PPG taking into account other teams games in hand).
Lennon earned his 5th yellow card and will miss the next game. |

Re: 2021-22 Like for Like Stats
Why, oh why can't we put on a decent show at home in front of the tv cameras? And why, oh why do we play 5 at the back at home against a mediocre team?
OK, it's 3 points, a clean sheet and we're in a playoff spot, but why, oh why do I have to drive home disappointed? |

Quote:
Winning against Solihull in May last year did not mean a 23 point deduction which amazingly was reversed when we lost to Altrincham at home in the next game. Sometimes I believe you live in an alternative universe and forget this when you are doing the Like for Like spreadsheet. |
