Southend predictions
 

Another tough game for us, this. I watched their game against Stockport, live on BT, last week and they were very unlucky not to get at least a draw. Stockport were really hanging on in 2nd half, but despite all their possession Southend were lacking in the final third.
They like to use their wingers a lot and were constantly getting around the back of the Stockport defence but just couldn't find the back of the net, although they had a blatant penalty turned down by the ref. Replays showed that Rhys Murphy was pulled back in the penalty area.

My prediction... Southend 1-3 Wrexham Mullin 2 (1 pen) and J Jones

Thinking we won't concede but will unleash our scoring fire power to go 0-3 with Angus, Hayden and Hyde getting one each. 1000+ reds in the sun!

I presume the team will be the same as Tuesday, but with hosannah in at RWB. Be interesting to then see who plays on the left of the back three - French, Lennon or Cleworth.

Good options to have, but it has to be French for me.He has all the makings of a top CB in a back 3.
French,Tozer,Hayden is a top league 2/league 1 back 3. I think that Brisley and Lennon will have a fight on their hands to get into the team.

Is Lennon fit though? He played against Eastleigh but not even in the squad v Notts County. So is he injured (again) or was he rested as the Eastleigh game was his first full game since November 2020.

The other thing of course is that we signed him from Southend so I wonder if he’ll play (if fit).
