Commentary team told us that Mullin was in with the fans. If so folk would have been asking him how long he will be out. I am sure we will get a fan report soon.

Lucky escape or determined recovery?

After going 2-0 down I feared the worse, but we stuck at it.

We clearly missed Mullin -- he brings so much more than just scoring goals -- but the defence were stretched and our midfield still cannot control the game.

PP will sort it out, but our inability to bring in any new faces until January is a major obstacle we must manage.

Undefeated after 3 tough away games ain't too bad. But we now need to start winning games, starting against Woking.

I take it we can't loan a midfielder meantime?

Is it too early to describe the Woking game as a six pointer?

Told a lad I know he’d be back next week.

Yes, but you simply have to win most of your home games if you want to go up.

Default Re: Southend Verdict

In a wider context, had they not been back to back. Would I have taken three points from NC (home), Solihull and Southend away? Probably. Just stings because of the manner in which we hammered NC for long periods, we’re winning at Solihull, and then today’s first half.

I predict we will struggle until Christmas while the team gels, then absolutely batter the league after that. If we don’t go up this year, it will be as 106 point champions the year after.
