Stewards, perhaps feel that they are not paid enough to challenge fans. At the Notts County game, quite a lot of paddock fans came into the Y4 Yale just to bate the away fans and disrupt the lives of regular WAFC fans who just go to games without shooting their mouths off. This should never have happened. Mainly cocky kids with no respect for anyone.
Hopefully on Saturday, this shouldn’t be an issue. What we needed recently were those “super stewards” that Spencer employed 2years ago to guard the Directors Box when things were getting heated. They looked really mean.

there is no need for some of the segregation issues we have had in place at the racecourse
when capacity was not an issue neither was segregation, now capacity is an issue, even so early on in the season, then negotiations should take place with relevant individuals to establish what can be done to increase capacity

To be fair to the stewards, I saw them take action to tone-down the ‘Tech End youngsters’ who had crowded the upper Yale/WXM Lager stand. It’s a bloody difficult job to manage a mob, but they did their best.

It's going to be chaos on Saturday. My mate has a theory that the rows in the upper stand, don't match the rows as was on the ticketing website - on the web row A was at the bottom of the lower tier working up through the upper tier, in the stand itself there is a 2nd row A at the bottom of the upper part of the stand. If he's right... carnage.

They certainly changed the row/numbers for the Yale/WXM Lager Stand because ‘the Ticketmaster system’ somehow couldn’t cope with the original system that has worked since 1972 and since the paddock was changed to all-seating.

Provided the numbers and rows on the seats match the database there shouldn’t be an issue. But if there is a mismatch then chaos will ensue.

I will observe from afar, hoping your mate is wrong.

I hope so too but he claims it based on his vantage point in the MRS at the Notts County game. He knew where his season tickets are and based on teh rows he could see noticed that the actual row was abotu 7 further back than where he'd booked.

I told him that I'm sure they'd be re-painting the row letters on before the next game. he wasn't so convicned.

You should have given them a clip round the ear and got the local Bobby to put them in the stocks. Youngsters, eh?
