This years avg attendance

I posted a thread a month or so ago regarding this seasons average attendance and it has been closed!?

I noted that Luton has the record avg at 7387 and I stated we could aim to beat that.

A few respondents had a guess too ... any chance of reopening the thread?

In appreciation.

Bristol Rovers averaged 8402 when they won the league in season 14-15 and for one game against Alfreton they had a crowd of over 11,000 do not think they would have had many away fans watching that one.

No this is incorrect as discussed in the closed thread. The 8402 included the final at Wembley. My data is for the normal home games before the finals.

Rovers do hold the record for highest attendance in a National league game tho' as stated against Alfreton.

That might be beaten this season when we play Notts Co away if ourselves and NC are still in contention..

Bristol Rovers didn't win the league that season, it was Barnet. Bristol Rovers won the playoffs and their average attendance for the season was 6,793.

Talking of attendances, here's a bit of trivia that you may or may not know...

In the 1976-77 season, both of Wrexham's games, home and away, against Lincoln City had an identical attendance of 7,753! What's the chances of that?

Okay, smart arse. It's like you are saying the odds on guessing a 4 digit code are 50%...you either guess it or you don't! The actual odds are 10,000 to 1
