Fuming with that announcement today, booked a hotel and can't get a refund for Sunday. A night out in Manchester instead, rather than a day at the cricket.

I had to chuckle , person I know ,was meant to be in Crown Court last month !

He has a reputation for being creative to swerve things !! and indeed stepped up to the plate by playing the Covid Card himself - and the case then had to be cancelled till later on this year !!!

It happens genuinely of course , it seems to be a fact of life at the moment

I think, what i have heard is that one of the Indian physio's contracted Covid and with the other physio also isolating, the players didn't think it was safe enough to go out onto the field and play the test game.
Plus also they may of been afraid if one of them was incubating the virus he could of spread it through out the team whilst the game was in play.

All the players had tested negative and were able to play. It’s unacceptable that the match was cancelled.

Pretty sure the IPL being 10-days away had something to do with it. All players tested negative so they'll be keen to fly home early and pick up their cheques. A joke really, I had tickets for Sunday for feel for those who travelled today.

Definitely a put up job by the BCCI

- 2 - 1 up in series
- going to Old Trafford (where India have never won)
- IPL imminent

Oh look a positive lateral flow test from a minor auxillary team member, we'll ignore the fact his PCR test came back negative

- there is no way we can play this test match as our players have been close to someone who may or may not have Covid
- forgetting they would have been playing in front of a capacity 30,000 at Old Trafford

Covid is going to be the 'excuse' for so much shit this season it will be farcical, it will be interesting to see how the various governing bodies will react
