I thought we looked reasonably comfortable until Jones got himself sent off. He should have known better with his experience but he struggled to get into the pace of the game.
The ref was not great but I found it helped us after the sending off.
Back 3 solid
Midfield - work in progress
Up front - ok but little service second half
We are still gelling together and it was a battling performance. However they will do very good to get a result v Grimsby and 3 points next sat v D&R

It's going to be a tough season and there's still a lot of work to do on the training ground. I liked Reckrd and James Jones's performances today and pretty impressed with Maguire Drew on his return.

Yeah he definitely looked off the pace compared to his previous games. Still adds a touch of class. Shout out to Reckord who looked much improved

My heart nearly fell out my arse at the end with that 1-on1 but Lainton came to the rescue. Think he's an outstanding keeper when fit. So important he stays fit but fear the worst as he's made of glass.

On the downside I agree with whoever said Young was frantic. Lost count of how many times he committed to a challenge but was beaten by his man. Hayden was surprisingly shaky in defence, particularly towards the end. Also think Jones only had himself to blame for the second yellow - very poor for a player of his experience.

Agree with all this.

He had run his legs off and surprised PP didn't change him for Angus before the sending off. Maybe, because he looked our best bet to create or score an important 2and goal. On the plus side PP must not have any real concerns about his knee.

Good result- thought Woking were a decent team.

Reckford was superb, as was Tozer.

Most impressed by togetherness and work effort of team, first time we haven’t been bullied in a long time. All of our players stood up today to a very physical battle.

To add to Luke Young debate, I think we need to give the lad a break. Club captain, new midfield- he us working his arse off and maybe trying too hard on occasions. He just oozes somebody who really really cares about this club. Those criticising him have very short memories about the constant 110% performances he put in last two seasons whilst surrounded by dross.

We are in a good place and looking forward to Tuesday.

Lainton- Mostly solid but alternates between sweeper keeper and glued to his line. Bailed us out of the s**t late on
French- Worked hard, bombing up and down, some good tackles and got forward well
Hayden- Got turned too easily on a couple of occasions, good in the air, mostly good with the ball at his feet minus a couple of lax passes
Tozer- Makes defending look effortless, barked orders at his 2 flanking defenders, a class apart
Lennon- Hope he can stay fit as he looks a very option to the left of Tozer
Reckord- Reckord
Young- Some good tackles and can never be faulted on effort but always frantic. Looked like he'd given away a stonewall pen at the end but luckily the ref got his specs from down a mine
Davies- took his goal well, played some nice passes, shame he took a knock
J Jones- Neat and tidy and pushed wide at times to give French an outlet but got caught out of position a couple of times
Hyde- Holds up the ball very well and gets his head to most things but it didn't quite click for him today
Mullin- Great bit of skill to the left of the area in the second half and drilled a ball across that just needed a touch. Unlucky with a couple of shots
D Jones- Will struggle to look the lads in the eye as a coach after such a daft second tackle. Took a booking to bail us out during a Woking breakaway but to then lunge into a tackle 60 seconds later was lunacy
McAlinden- What is this fella? Always looks like Bambi on ice with no positional know-how. Looked to break twice and on both occasions he looked like he'd christened the Wrexham Lager stand with a few half time pints

Excellent result and thought we played well at times against a big physical side. We ground out the result at the end and we are now push overs.Unbeaten run continues.
Referee lost the plot second half
