Well not wearing muzzles won’t prevent lockdowns either.

I would rather not be a selfish so and so and wear a face covering where distance cannot be kept to the 1-2 meters.

Did you enjoy the game yesterday, minus all the obvious gripes?

I didn’t go yesterday as wasn’t up to queuing up for my season ticket 6 weeks after paying for it on 28 July. Had to go through hassle of getting a printed ticket for Notts game and then was intending to have to go through it again for yesterday’s game so ended up listening to it on radio wales sounded like an entertaining game. Between the radio commentary and red passion posters thoughts the ref wasn’t the greatest.

What stand you in ? My mates had the same problem, but they went around 10ish and got there season tickets within minutes. Then went to the pub

People aren’t going to wear masks at their seat Michael, I would say literally 100% of the 8200 crowd yesterday did not wear one at their seats and why should they? It’s in an open space and there’s no requirement to do so regardless of if you think that’s selfish or not.

If you’re that scared of the virus why did you buy a season ticket when you knew that a mask wouldn’t be a requirement to be worn when people are sat at their seat?

The WrexRent stand. I couldn’t face it after the Notts county game but then after reading your comment and others comments I wish I had made the effort this time to get season ticket sorted ah well try again next week.

What I find difficult to understand is how come they can now print your season ticket whilst your there whereas all the faff was “ waiting on the printers [ company ] “ to sort.

Like some have suggested other clubs where you have option to have season ticket on smart phone and those not as techy card or even book like the old days ?

When I was at Notts and Curzon Ashton games people were wearing masks granted not that many.

So if what your saying is 100% of people not wearing masks yesterday then I dunno unless you were in every part of each stand would you know this.

I purchased a season ticket as believed some people would use their common sense instead of the wonderful welsh / Uk governments advice which lets be honest has been a complete farce for 18 months. Don’t wear mask / wear mask / 2 meters / 1 meter / can’t go to bar / table service only / hop on one leg and go to bar and you’ll be fine!

Yes it’s not compulsory under the relevant government’s advice. I don’t buy this well it’s an outdoor setting whilst on one hand it is true most of the seats are under roofing.

Cinemas you need masks.
Buses / trains you need masks.
Shops you need masks.
Workplaces you need masks.

Pubs / Sports ah ditch those masks as no covid around these settings.
It’s non existent after all eh?

Plus also people aren’t wearing them queuing for refreshments , using the toilet which are indoor !

I only saw one older chap wear a mask in his seat in the Wrexrent, didn’t see any that I can remember at Jonesys! It is what it is.

The research on masks as a useful weapon in preventing transmission isn’t convincing. One of the most extensive studies was in Denmark and it found that they have a marginal benefit , but the margins were within a statistical error range. Given that masks hide the key human function of facial communication, this limited scientific evidence questions the medical value of using them, most certainly outdoors.

However behavioural scientists will tell you that they have high value because they remind people about the pandemic and therefore influence cautious behaviour. My own view is that this is why they have been mandated , but that it comes with ethical issues - is it right to frighten people into adopting certain behaviours ? Does it in turn damage mental health ? That is, do the downsides on masks overide their benefits ? I think they do, especially outside.

It’s is also worth noting that of the 4 UK nations , England has currently the weakest restrictions in terms of masks, but it is England that is performing better in terms of cases.
