He clearly had nothing to do with the retained list etc. And if sights were set too high on CM's they should have been lowered. As has been said even someone Conference level like Storer would have knitted this team together brilliantly.

At this rate it will take us 3 years to get into the league.

I agree he would of had nothing to do with the retained list. He could of made contact with Harris to see if he was interested before he signed for Warrington as he didn’t sign for Warrington until end August. On the fearless in devotion podcast with Harris - Harris said that PP had spoken to a player at the club and asked about any midfield options and that player said yes Jay Harris.

Absolutely agree regards Storer he would of been a really good option.

Thought you were going to piss this league and be in the championship in four years?

Just asking.

Anyone thinking that was caught up in the emotion that surrounds the story which is easy to do, history tells us the likes of Salford, Forest Green, Stockport have spent big and non found the league a walk in the park.

In some respects we have been unlucky with the fixture list which was pretty horrific and hasnít allowed our players to gel against weaker opposition. However we havenít helped ourselves with some strange recruitment in midfield.

The reality is some teams like Chesterfield needed fine tuning while we needed overhauling so they are in a better position. I donít think we will win the league, but if we can go into the play offs strong we have a chance.

I donít see the obsession with Harris. There were loads of midfielders available, why just focus on ex players. Midfield recruitment has not been good enough, but that doesnít make Harris the solution.

The fact our midfield 3 still get's dominated by an opposition midfield 2 is concerning to say the least. Parky made a mistake tonight starting Redmond who hasn't played for the best part of 2 years in a big game like tonight. Sounded like we played better when McAlinden came on so hoping he will start on Saturday.

I fully expected a difficult start to the season with our fixtures and new squad, so not panicking yet.
