I think the team we have is easily good enough to finish in the top five. Our midfield issues won't be a problem against the bottom-half teams and we'll have enough quality to pick off the teams who come to the Racecourse and sit back. We have been handed a very tough set of fixtures and 9-points with just one loss is OK.

The key, as many have said will be January. If we can stay within touching distance of first-place and recruit some quality midfielders we'll have a shot at the title.

Oh, to the person who screamed at Dibble during the warm up calling him the shittest keeper he's ever seen and trying to get the 'I'd rather wear a turban' chant going...you're an embarrassment to yourself and the club.
There was a fair few embarrassing and cringeworthy chants from our end last night I thought, a couple about India Autry were toe curling.

Think there’s a case to play French infront of the back three when Hosannah is available, he’s a very clever player and it might be worth a go.

Not Tozer though please, he simply oozes class where he is now. Will be vital to us.

I hope there is cctv of this, deserves prosecuting and a lifetime ban.

On the result.

We all know we're a defensive midfield player short. There is not much PP can do until January. The fans need to be patient. The side still has 5 more automatic promotion lives left.

Some ridiculous hysteria today. A week ago Tozer and Hayden were Rolls Royces, the Tozer throw was dynamite, Mullin a genius , Hyde going to score even more than Mullin, James Jones a kind of Grealish, Cleworth the new Bobby Moore.

None of the above were accurate, but neither is the doom mongering today. And the anti Luke Young agenda is so unfair - the bloke was POS by a mile last year and is a very decent player at our level.

So far we have been pretty good, really good in parts and looked like a developing force . Probably a bad night against Grimsby , but hopefully development will continue, albeit the clear shortcomings in midfield will not be rectified till January. In the meantime we should:

- think about Tozer or French as a physical presence in midfield
- perhaps try Dan Jarvis rather than Redmond
- play Lennon in the trickier away games like Grimsby and rest him for Cleworth in easier home games
- relieve Young of the captaincy
- ditch the Tozer throw
- change set piece routines

Sensible options and post there foxy. While I don’t see PP putting French in midfield, Tozer is surely an option.

Tozer can hardly run from what I've seen. Be like having Pearson in CM.

French has to be the option there.

I’m not saying it’s a terrible idea, I’m just not sure PP will be thinking of that. Especially with RHJ out and Hosannah a bit unknown for now. French has been a good performer at RWB

If Hosannah is fit I would seriously consider moving French to the CDM role. He has all the attributes we currently lack — mobility, speed, height, strength and can pass the ball — and those capabilities would transform us if it worked.
