Believe Andy’s ban is ancient history. It was related to a story he wrote about players not getting paid under Guterman.

Andy Gilpin made another interesting comment on Twitter in there might be outside influences in the selection of Redmond -decision made to retain him by someone else but needing to look the right one.Given Parkinson background would be surprised if interference in team selection.

Considering the ‘reserves’ lost 2-0 vs Man United u17s, there doesn’t seem too much hope for Redmond/Jarvis.

None of the above were accurate, but neither is the doom mongering today. And the anti Luke Young agenda is so unfair - the bloke was POS by a mile last year and is a very decent player at our level.

So far we have been pretty good, really good in parts and looked like a developing force . Probably a bad night against Grimsby , but hopefully development will continue, albeit the clear shortcomings in midfield will not be rectified till January. In the meantime we should:

- think about Tozer or French as a physical presence in midfield
- perhaps try Dan Jarvis rather than Redmond
- play Lennon in the trickier away games like Grimsby and rest him for Cleworth in easier home games
- relieve Young of the captaincy
- ditch the Tozer throw
- change set piece routines
Agree with pretty much everything Foxy, except that I do really think Hyde will score more than Mullin this season..
Mullin will probably provide most of them mind....

On the positive side of Tuesdays game we looked really sharp in patches. The first 15 minutes then a good spell in the second half. I was sat with Grimsby fans in the Youngs stand and there were plenty of nervous comments from them.

They must have been watching a different game in the home end then. Thought we got dominated from the get go, we couldn’t cope with their press at all. Hyde’s goal was completely against the run of play. They sat back second half but we didn’t hurt them at all.

Football is about tight margins.
Last Saturday we got 3 points , because we survived a decent penalty appeal by Woking and Lainton pulled off A great 1on1 save.
I was confident we would get a late equaliser at Grimsby , but instead they scored on a breakaway after a poor header by Green.
If those two scenarios had happened we would have earned 2 points , but as it was we got 3 points from two games.
We need to be realistic here , but if we are to challenge we need more wins , especially at home.
