Those costings are far far beyond what we need to at least have consistent high-quality service for the fans and a presentable brand for marketing purposes.

We're looking at one extreme to the other, we don't need a £3000 monthly retainer for a design agency to replace our Microsoft Paint style graphics on the videos.

Even ignoring those figures what value have we got from the 5k a year?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe the media team have the remit of marketing, it's purely content creation. For even a fraction of that annually the quality of our output should be far better than what it is

I know, what planet do some people live on Just need a creative person who given a decent camera and microphone and some flair with photoshop and edit software can produce some quality content. The club doesn't need to advertise this as a job, 2 or 3 years of this as experience on your CV would be great for a youngster who wants to get a job in that kind of field.

From what I was told a lot of their time is focused on marketing.

A multinational? A multinational would have budgets way in excess of that.

Sorry if you think the media team of a rapidly growing and expanding football club should be someone just out of uni I am not sure what to say to you. We need 2 comms professionals and 3-4 content creators, supported by agencies and the proper technology. Not some guy who is ‘good with his phone’

Sounds like a serious organisation trying hard to please it’s media and it’s stakeholders while driving marketing opportunities. No sports fan north of Brecon should be on Facebook without seeing a Wrexham advert. Perhaps the budget would even pay for some way of monitoring this cess pit, reminding Fleur that she’s got an email from Mikeyyy

You want your club to be somewhere where people get 2-3 years work experience in the media? Like seriously?

Why are we even worried about players or staff then? Never mind Mullin…Get some lad in straight from an academy somewhere, no need to pay a transfer fee.
