Bryn Law on Twitter saying potentially 1000’s of supporters would have paid for a stream. The club and league is missing out on revenue and opportunity to grow the brand. Such a shame. |

Re: Streaming Games
There were a lot of European games last Tuesday , also Championship.
I'm guessing present broadcasting rules don't allow Conference games to be streamed. Don't know whether any EFL games are being streamed at the moment but I doubt it. As for missing out on revenue surely Grimsby would have got the revenue from their home game. Couldn't really see them saying "Sure Wrexham bring all your TV gear and Bryn Law and you can stream the game , we don't mind your supporters staying at home to watch it." |

Re: Streaming Games
Yeah, BT pay for exclusivity for the National League, I believe. The only reason they allowed streaming last season was because if they didn't there'd be a lot of clubs who just couldn't have survived, there was a lot of borderline survivals even with the streaming allowance.
No good paying for exclusivity to a league that's had to get rid of a few of its members. |

Re: Streaming Games
I’m not a big fan of live streaming the games if I’m honest. It takes away the exclusiveness of going to a game, the 500 hardy souls who travel a couple of hundred miles to watch our team play on a Tuesday night should be rewarded. If this makes sense.
If you are unable to go or choose not to for whatever reason, tune into the radio. That’s what I did and I enjoyed it. Nothing beats going to a game but radio is fine if you can’t go. Live streaming will affect the gates and what’s terrific about this season is the attendances and atmosphere’s at the ground, home and away. Football without fans is nothing. Re: Streaming Games
I can see both sides to be honest. I went to Grimsby last week and it was a long old drive up there. Chances are I'd have stayed at home if I could've streamed it. Grimsby got over £25 out of me when streaming would probably more like £10.
It'll punish the smaller clubs that rely on bigger away attendances to make ends meet. Not our problem I suppose but as we saw with the Super League, there needs to be a bit of loyalty in football between clubs of all sizes. That said, if everyone else is already doing streaming weems weird that we aren't at our level. |
