Anybody else think our chants are repetitive and a bit lame ? What's happened to the classic ones that jacko used to sing and maybe come up with new ones for new players ect ?

Yes. They are just recycled ones. If people enjoy then it’s up to them I suppose.

I blame the teachers for killing creativity.

Yes, I am too old for this now, but I agree. On the Kop at Liverpool, the chants are generally topical and funny. We can even pick some of them out on the telly. The Wrexham chants are cringe worthy and re cycled. A personal dislike of mine is “stand up if you love Wrexham”. Just an excuse for some oik to block our view, again!

The problem with some of the others are if not many know the words but know the tune, they easily lose momentum rather than build momentum. Even the generic Parkinsons Red and White army if persisted with would catch on massively in that crowd sat. Remember at Brentford years ago Jacko and a few doing Brian Flynns red and white army for what seemed forever until everyone was singing it through half time.

Maybe just too old for this now

Went down hill when Richard Moss passed away, he would sing about anything. Twist and shout was his signature chant

At away games, Jacko standing on his seat facing the masses arms aloft, starting us off with "Everywhere we goooooooooo". What a legend.
