Agree. Enjoy great nights (and days) out in Manchester,but train booked didnt stop there. Will now be getting the Warrington change option and have a few in Piccadilly.

TBF, the long standing landlady at the Armoury recently gave it up as the Brewery forced up her rent and she was a big County fan. I’ve never heard of any trouble in there but many County fans I know go in there after the game for a few beers before going home, so the situation may have changed with change of landlord but I doubt it as it’s on the main route back into town.
This match is used by GMP as a ‘practice’ for crowd control at the bigger games at Old Trafford & Ethiad. A sizeable crowd, a bit of historical needle, (2 well supported clubs who have slipped down the leagues) plenty of pubs and tight terraced houses all around. There is plenty of scope for trouble, Stockport v Chester gets the same treatment

Arguably the best beer in town, always a good selection. The Littlewood's pies mentioned in the tweet are also very tasty, produced by a local butcher.

Not really hard to avoid Edgeley, there's only about 4 pubs there now.
