Default Interview with Owen Jackson

An interesting podcast featuring our Head of Physical Performance, Owen Jackson.

Quite revealing how little we used the sports science available to us last season and how poor nutrition, GPS use was.

Thanks for posting. In summary:

- a number of improvements being made.
- new gym for the players at the ground.
- individual gym programs.
- new physio who knows his stuff, they were understaffed before his appointment.
- new chef been recruited and nutrition vastly improved on last season when the players post match meal was a chicken wrap (LOL).
- players weren’t wearing GPS at training last season, they now are to monitor performance during the week.
- special shout out to Ruthers for working at B&Q.

Peter Beardsley must have been our previous chef.

I'm pretty sure the GPS equipment we used last season was paid for by fundraising from a supporters group. Imagine finding out you'd made a big contribution to making the club more professional only to find out the management team didn't even bother using it properly.

It was noticeable how amazed Owen was to turn up at the club and find out there was no historical GPS data for the players.
