Covid Pass
 

Following yesterdays 28 - 27 vote in the Senedd will we need proof of vaccination to be able to attend the Racecourse in the near future?
Would suit me personally as I'd feel safer.

Being discussed on the coronovirus thread.

Attendances are below 10k, so not needed.

The covid pass system is flawed, it's very very very easy to get a fake pass. The idea is great, but poorly put into practice.

Thanks for that Wayne. I thought a wider audience would be reached on here. Didn't mention 10,000 as the cut off point in the article I read.
Do we know what the pass system is ? I had my booster yesterday but haven't looked into getting my covid passport yet. Suppose it may be different in Wales from England.

Be interesting to see how they enforce it for visiting fans at Cardiff and Swansea.

Imagine the queues if we had this as well.

We've struggled with ticketing, your can't get a half time pie in the Wrexrent due to having one kiosk for 3000 people, this would be another hassle.

Could be worth it if it stops a few people catching Covid from selfish individuals who aren't jabbed.

Lucky you I won't get my booster till next month, but got my flu jab yesterday.

Covid pass is vaccination or 48 lateral flow test.

For lateral flow test:

You put the results up on the website and you get a text message that you have to show when entering.

It's easier for the turnstiler to see text than it is to get the season ticket scanner working. ��

For vaccination you just use the qr code vaccination that you can get from the gov website.

Showing the qr code will be good enough for the turnstiler. They won't need to check if it's a valid one.

As mentioned earlier the system is open to abuse...


The UK has crap vaccine take up figures, I guess this is more of a case of trying to push people to get vaccinated rather than actual enforcement.

2 issues.

You could still get it from a jabbed person. The system is p1ss easy to get around so if someone is an anti vaxxer, they'll still be there anyway.

Just a lot of admin for businesses, just so Daffy can be different to England. Will be as effective at reducing rates as keeping muzzles has been.
