From my view in the Mold Road, it looked as though they both slid in and therefore both put themselves at risk but I’d like to see it again particularly as one bloke has a broken knee.
Well as neither player had the ball initially surely the player who doesn't get the ball is the one who commits the foul?

In reality both went in a little bit recklessly, which is probably why noth players got injured.

It’s irrelevant who gets the ball today - reckless is reckless and ,as said, from where I was they were both guilty. The other way round and Rowe would have defended his player which is normal. I pay no attention to his view.

The tackle is around 6:14 on the extended highlights. From that angle I would say that Reckord gets there first wins the ball cleanly and the Chesterfield lad clatters into him a fraction of a second later.

Don't know enough about reffing to say who is right or wrong, but it did look like the Chesterfield lad was slightly late to me. Both definitely committed and both left injured.

I think referee viewed it as both players going in a bit reckless and just played on. Used some common sense as it was one of those 50/50s that one player marginally gets there before the other.
If their medical people were more cautious he wouldn’t of suffered the further injury.

Throughout the first half, after the first few minutes of Town pressure. Chesterfield were the sharper team, first to the tackle, first and eager to get the ball and often left the Town lads standing. Unfortunately it is a style of play that can bring about self inflicted injuries.

The second half saw Chesterfield run out of steam and looking happy with the result. A Chesterfield guy at the match predicted their approach and what changes they would make as their influence declined. He was correct.

From a Wrexham supporters viewpoint .- I saw the same old Town, struggling at times -but with a larger attendance. Why are so many extra 'fans' turning up to see the same old fare ?

Chesterfield were the more aggressive and one of the dirtiest teams we have seen at the racecourse in a long time. Row need to shut his mouth.

I was in front of it but I will have to say I don't think so. Mind you I last refereed in the dark ages and played during the ice age. In the dark ages it would have been a 'coming together'. Today they shake hands before the match !!! Whats that all about ?

Looking at it it was a 50/50 challenge, both players went in heavy for it which in hindsight looks a bad decision. But it was a coming together of players which unfortunately resulted in a bad injury to their player.
