The article is highlighting some of the problems, but not sure it is offering any real solutions, at least, not until January. PP has recruited for 352 on top of the players he inherited so if he is less than confident that we are going to kick on in the next few weeks, would he experiment with a change of system.

If we go with 442 we would be in greater need for that holding centre mid, a player to protect the 2 centre backs and to provide cover if the full back push up. Similiary with 433 and it would raise worryingbquestions about RHJ, Bryce H and Green's defensive attributes as full backs as opposed to having more freedom to attack as wing backs with a centre back covering.

Maybe teams have sussed out our 352 and are stopping our wing backs getting forward as they have done for reasonable effect over the last 2 season's and/or taking advantage of our less than rugged midfield, but for me it's just been down to too many players not adapting to the system, playing anywhere near to their abilities and performances littered with too many basic mistakes. Games are won and lost in both boxes and determination to defend well and make things happen at the other end and regardless of the system, we have been very average in this respect.

It's a fair and interesting article.
One of the key points is PP's apparent lack of flexibility and negative play - I think it's still too early to go down the track of out and out criticism but a change in approach would be welcome.

What isn't mentioned (maybe because it isn't there) is the question, are all the players giving 100 per cent? Surely those from higher divisions should be standing out in this league? (PM and Hyde not included in this)

There is still plenty of time, and the support has been out of this world, but we need to start speaking in the only language that matters - results.

A well written article, but seemingly based on others’ opinions he has read on t’internet.

His view about Young is valid, albeit I don’t think he is as good in that role as this guy thinks.

One would hope PP is well aware of our shortcomings and will do something about it.
