Too many to quote but re: my Ruthers and Carra comment. Most the players today strolled into the game thinking it would have been a breeze. Those two, as limited as they were, would never have gone into this game with that attitude and would have gone into it fighting unlike the players who were out there today.

The attitude today was disgusting. We deserved to lose and truly got away with murder there. Much like the Chesterfield game.

A manager appointed far too late and a team thrown together.

A retained list done by someone other than the manager.

As some have now spotted Keats was fired too late.

Feel sorry for the manager and some players as this was always likely to be the outcome of the decisions taken at Board level. People just like Spencer, inept with big ego.

They just have a lot more money to play with so despite everything will probably buy success in the end. Might take a lot more time than many hoped.

Thought MG commentary today gives you a reasonable view of how bad things are... If he is critical, then you can be certain we were absolutely awful.

I am fully in the parky out camp. For the following reasons:

- Parkinson has been the most financially backed manager we have had in the last 20 years, easily. He cannot argue that its a question of budget constraints or any other factor...
- after 9 games in the league, we are in the same position points wise as we were last season with more players, who cost more, and who are being paid more.
- we are saying he failed to bring a midfielder in. There's no reason why he failed to bring a centre mid or dm in... We could have gotten anyone we wanted within reason. I think he chose not to bring anyone in...if so, we are either playing his game plan, or the players (as per post match words) aren't carrying out his plan. In either instance he is not doing his job
- there's no plan b, ever. We cannot react to what the other team is doing at any point. We just persist with our game which usually involves giving the ball away and placing ourselves under huge amounts of pressure
- we are made to look ordinary at best, or terrible at worst by some very average teams
- people will say its too soon to let him go. 20% of games are now played. We can't expect to achieve a playoff place based on form... I'm all for giving managers time but the last 9 games, and parkinson past career tell us he will continue doing what he is doing... We need to stick by a manager, but not one who can't adapt.
2 reasons for me:

- we’ve played 10 games and have seen no improvement in the team, in fact we look worse now than at game one.

- we can afford to get rid of managers now and should be ruthless. Can anyone actually see us becoming a league winning side under Parkinson?

We are the Man Utd of the non league. Just a team of individuals with a manager who is not good enough and have no identity.

That result has really got me asking questions about Parkinson. Would sacking him do a lot now though? We don't have a midfield. Sir Alex would struggle to get results out of this lot.

Using the same logic, give me Carrington before Hayden anytime. Or even Steve Watkin before Mullin, as the latter is all too clever at pretending to put the effort in.
i agree with the Jones and Hayden comments, Jones gave the ball away most of the game, i started counting how many time he gave it away first half and counted 7 times at least, and Hayden looks like a different player to the lad who played the first 2 games of the season, they both need dropping on Tuesday It was Hayden’s fault for their goal today, conceded a corner from him being half asleep, oblivious to the danger, he can’t read the game at all. I’m not having the dig at Mullin tho, he looks like he actually cares!

When I seen he was going 5-3-2 again yesterday, that was it for me. We looked a better side when we switched formation for the last 10 minutes, against Chesterfield. Any manager worth his salt, would of thought it's time to give something else ago, but he can't, he's fixated on one style. Sunderland fans hated him for it. The contrast between opposition managers and Parkinson during games, whether tweaking tactics, talking to their team or making subs is huge. You can also see the frustration on the players faces, he's ruining them.

I've felt it for a while, but you tell yourself it's early days. Enough is enough now, either he changes it now or sack him while we're still not miles away from promotion spots. The right man and the manager I wanted is lying in wait, somewhere near Newport.

A good coach improves the players he has at his disposal

A good coach assess those players and creates a playing system to match their abilities

A good coach tweaks the system during the game in response to what the opposition are doing

I haven't seen much of any of this so far

Miles off in the league and now taught a lesson by complete part timers and no disrespect to them as they deserved to win. What next?
