It was said Tozer's throw contributed to 5 goals last season, with 2 goals in the first dozen games, so he is well placed to improve on that especially with the added physicality of Brisley and the odd dodgy keeper.

As expected Mullin made NL paper team of the day..
What no doubt will be a confidence booster for him so did Dibble...

Did Dibble actually have that much to do? I suppose he would get a decent rating for collecting crosses, generally playing well etc...
But did he have any saves to make? Not seen the highlights yet...
But well done to both anyway!

I remember he saved one low and comfortable to his right. He was dominant at corners and had one good take and a good punch that I recall but he won’t have many more relaxed afternoons to be honest

Basically he did all that he was expected to do well...that would explain the team of the week award

Sounds like three decent performances for Dibble on the trot here - great to see some pressure on Lainton for his place. At Nantwich he seemed to be enjoying his football a bit more too - has looked slightly hangdog in the past.

Think Leighton is a better keeper, but doesn’t play enough games without injuries, a defence needs consistency behind them, so at this time I would stick with dibble whether or not Leighton is fit.

Jim Leighton has been retired for 20 years but I still think Fergie did the right thing dropping him for the Cup Final replay!

Maybe this is what a 2 year contract does for some players.

Whilst others relax and sit on the security of a contract, maybe it allows certain players to play with less pressure and "limbo" of not knowing where you'll be playing next season.
