Yes it is. You can argue every position on the field is ‘specialist’. We need proper midfielders who can read the game, play passes and tackle. We need good footballers. Something that has been hugely lacking for a long, long time. The reason tozer has done well there in the past two games is because he’s a good professional footballer, not because he’s a ‘specialist’. He reads the game and makes it look simple.

Brad Walker didn’t half have an effect on some supporters for a bloke who’s not in Port Vale’s team.

Good that we've got another player in there as Dave Jones seems to be more of a coach and Tozer is the only player who has looked good in that position.
He's a well travelled player and has some international experience. I'm not expecting fireworks but seems a sensible option on a short term deal.

Add Jamie McCluskey, Adam Barton and Jordan McMillan. Robbie Foy and James Jones I think played for Scotland u21, but didn't play in Scotland.
