Club statement - Supporter Conduct "You are not welcome"

SUPPORTER CONDUCT | Wrexham AFC vs Torquay United
Club working to identify those responsible


Wrexham AFC regret to say we are aware of reports of unacceptable incidents and behaviour at our match against Torquay United, directed towards opposition supporters, by a very small minority of attendees at the game.

We would like to reassure the supporters of both teams that we are reviewing footage and working with North Wales Police to identify those responsible.

Such behaviour will not be tolerated at the Racecourse Ground, and those identified will face the strictest punishments available to the Club. You are not welcome at our Football Club. The safety of all people attending games at the Racecourse Ground is of paramount importance.

We would like to thank the 242 Torquay supporters who made the long return trip from Devon to North Wales for the game, and our true fans who supported us in great numbers once again.

If the Torquay trust statement is true, I’m really disappointed that the fans up there couldn’t behave themselves.

I think maybe the club could have policied that area better maybe? I got the impression there were a few Torquay idiots in the bottom tier, but it still doesn’t make our own ‘fans’ conduct acceptable. There were families, children etc in there.

What do you mean ‘if it is true’. I was in the ERS and saw a bottle clonk a woman on the head.

What I mean is I didn’t see it and I’m taking someone else’s word for it. I sit in the MRS. You could see Torquay fans kicking off from where I was sat but nothing being thrown.

I’m sure those responsible will be banned from attending games - and rightly so! I can’t help but think the Torquay trust account is slightly exaggerated.

I saw bottles being frown into the away fans but also saw Torquay fans fing and blinding and stewards and nwp before any of that had happened yet they were allowed to stay in the stand and carry on while our useless security team stood and watched along with nwp it works both ways now hearing that they were mocking a dead Wrexham fan to hopefully that will be invested to but won’t hold my breath on that not saying Wrexham fans are angels by any stretch but some of the Torquay fans weren’t exactly well behaved either
