Didn't account for the conditions, on a dry pitch he would have got away with it but agree, he should never have attempted a backpass from there.
Play it to French who could have put his foot through the ball and sent it down the pitch, which is just what Lainton would have done had the backpass reached him.

I’ve seen worse! It was an individual error which, unfortunately, has resulted in a goal.

The first goal just looked too easy ie shifted to the left and the lad gets the whole goal to hit. It looked like there was no desire to get the ball twatted in your face to stop a goal. For me, the first goal was more annoying than the second.

Yes alan i assume you are talking about the goal we conceded from the free kick. It looked to me as though one of our players turned to get out of the way of the ball. I think it was French.

Indeed whatever Hayden's issues are he seems to be a major source of defensive mistakes. We have Brisley back now so maybe rest Hayden for a game or two for him to work on his game, get his head straight so that he can be the player Carlisle were so upset at losing
