Do we know what the cost would be to clear the kop and build a new 5k seater stand, without any Government money for the Wrexham gateway project. Does anybody think R&R would proceed if Govt money is not forthcoming.

The stadium is already pretty full most weeks and we're mid table in the NL. No way is the ground big enough for their ambitions.

Even if we started on the Kop tomorrow it won't be ready until the end of next season so I think we may find that they are going to look to fund the Kop redevelopment themselves as government funding could take another 12-18 months so we would be looking at opening in 2025 earliest if they wait around.

Could be completely wrong though

I'm just watching the Macclesfield documentary on iPlayer. It's incredible what they have done to the ground in such a short amount of time. The new stand is outstanding.
